Frequently Asked Questions

Reiki is a universal energy, or life-force energy, that moves through us, to us, and surrounds us. It is the component of all life, and is always available for us.

Reiki, in my experience, is all about energy balancing, and the flow of life-force energy in the body. Often times, those who I have worked with, have mentioned seeing colours, or feeling warmth in the body. Sometimes individuals experience different temperature sensations such as coolness, or heat in particular areas of the body. Some have mentioned feeling 'lighter' upon the session completion, having more clarity, and feeling more at ease in their life upon the days, weeks and sometimes months following our session(s) together. All in all, it is a safe practice. Reiki is very simple, loving, and yet very powerful. It knows where to flow, and I play my part by being a pure and clear conduit to allow that energy to flow to the person receiving.

If you were to receive a reiki session, you would either lie down, or sit up right. Whichever way you choose, it is important that YOU are comfortable. Once you are comfortable, I consciously, and respectfully step 'fully' into the energy space (your space), and connect myself to source energy. I connect my whole body, mind and being... my consciousness, to that, and to reiki. I allow reiki to flow into the top of my head, and out through my hands into the person receiving. From there, I myself can 'feel,' 'see,' and sometimes receive guidance from other beings (passed on loved ones, spiritual guides, angelic beings, ancient ones, etc.) about where to go, what to acknowledge within the client, and sometimes even specific demonstrations of how to form my hands to allow the energy to flow more specifically to that person.

Distance reiki is much the same concept, where I follow the same connection, and receive images, words, and energetic languages about where the body is asking for the balance. Distance reiki does work through time and space, so you can be anywhere in the world, and the energy will still be sent your way. Again, it is simple, yet powerful, and always accurate.

A lot of these, I do my best to answer from personal experiences. Us reiki practitioners have different ways of connecting and experiencing the flow of this energy and sessions. This is a beautiful thing, and it should be noted that every session is different, not only amongst practitioners, but even with the same practitioner. You could have multiple sessions with the same reiki practitioner, and yet, have very different experiences every single time.
